I wish you enjoy the 14 years you’ve got today and welcome everything that comes towards you in this period of your life with interest, curiosity and joy. Even if you don’t understand them all, even if many things may seem unjust to you…
We often tend to live in the past or dream of a bright future, but the reality is that all we have in our hands is just the present – today and the present moment. It is better to focus on them and enjoy them slowly, as they come. We can of course learn from the past, and hope for a beautiful future at the same time. It’s a bit like the structure of a house: the past is its foundation, the present are the rooms where we live in and the future is somewhere in the attic ?. And the age of 14 is a small threshold between a smaller room to a larger one … ?
Of course there will be other thresholds in this imaginary house, and sometimes you will hit the door jamb to overcome an obstacle, but no one else can take these steps for you … It’s important to have the courage and confidence that you will make it.
